The Perfect Pie Weight

The exact model that I bought is unavailable, but the one in the purchase link is almost the same (mine is all silicone and the one below has a metal insert with silicone edges). I love that it’s one piece and that the silicone wings keep the sides of the pie from puffing instead of just the bottom. My friends kept borrowing the two that I have, so I have bought a bunch as gifts. I don’t make a lot of pies, but I do make a lot of quiche, and filling the pie pan with beans or those chains weights was too much trouble and didn’t work all that well.
