Make Perfect Bacon in the Oven!


I make my bacon in the oven and store it layered with paper towels, so I always have perfect bacon to reheat or use in a recipe.

Servings

12-18 slices of bacon per pound

Equipment

  • Large baking sheet
  • Baking rack (a baking rack goes inside the baking sheet to allow the bacon to drip into the baking sheet). See recipe picture

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sliced bacon (thick sliced is best!)
  • Seasonings such as:
    • Coarse ground black pepper
    • Beggs Bold Blends Caribbean Seasoning
    • Beggs Bold Blends Poultry & Pork Seasoning
    • Beggs Bold Blends Southwestern Seasoning

Directions

Preheat oven to 275F

  1. Place baking rack inside the baking sheet
  2. Place slices of bacon on the baking rack (the slices can touch on the sides)
  3. Liberally season the tops of each slice
  4. Bake until desired brownness and crispiness (about 45 minutes)

BE SURE NOT TO POUR THE BACON DRIPPINGS DOWN THE SINK! You must let the grease cool and place it in a container to store it or throw it away.
