Bread Knife

A bread knife doesn’t get a ton of use, but when you need to cut bread, a straight blade just won’t do it. I’ve enjoyed my Farberware bread knife (the lower knife) for over a decade, and it’s as good as new. It’s sharp and it isn’t too expensive. I added my other bread knife so you could see that it has a slightly different edge. That one is a mystery brand, and probably someone left it at my house a long time ago. The important feature of a bread knife is that it be serrated and long. A short serrated knife might work, but it will “chew” up the bread. The long blade makes for superior slicing.
