Beef Hash

This is the perfect recipe to use up leftover pot roast. This was a weeknight staple when I was a kid, because we had pot roast nearly every Sunday for lunch.

Cooking  Time

25 minutes

Preparation Time

10 minutes

Servings

4 hearty portions

Equipment

Use a 10″ fairly deep nonstick skillet with a lid

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pot roast, chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 3-4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and cut into 3/4″ chunks
  • 1 medium or large onion, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 T Beggs Bold Blends Burger & Steak Seasoning
  • 3 T cooking oil, such as olive or canola

Directions

1. Pour oil into the skillet.
2. Add beef, potatoes, and onions and stir to coat with the cooking oil.
3. Add Beggs Bold Blends Burger & Steal Seasoning and stir to combine.
4. Cover the skillet and turn heat on low/medium.
5. Stir occasionally and test potatoes for doneness after about 15 minutes. Potatoes will be done when a fork will easily pierce a potato chunk.
6. When the potatoes are done, turn the heat up to high and let the meat and potatoes brown for a minute or two, then stir. Keep this up until
the potatoes are golden and maybe a few have burnt edges.
