A Spicy Sweet ‘n’ Sour Sauce That’s Not Red

This is fantastic over stir-fried pork, shrimp, and chunky bits of fish. It’s a nice change from the syrupy, red sweet and sour sauces. Oh, and this sauce is spicy. Yum!

1-quart sauce pan

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce with 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved
  • 1/4 cup cider or rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. hot red pepper flakes

Directions

Add all ingredients to sauce pan and heat until bubbly and starting to thicken
